Pershing Square Philanthropies’ Pershing Square Sohn Cancer Research Alliance Initiative supports innovative, high-impact cancer research led by emerging independent investigators. Selected applicants may receive up to $750,000 in funding, with applications due October 26, 2026. Applicants must demonstrate independent research experience and hold an eligible independent research position at an academic, nonprofit, government, or comparable research institution; postdoctoral fellows are generally not eligible. Each institution may have limits on the number of primary investigators who can apply, and applicants must submit a letter of intent through the online portal.
