About this program
The Committee on Psychoanalysis and the Academy of the American Psychoanalytic Association offers the Peter Loewenberg Essay Prize in Psychoanalysis and Culture for the best essay presenting psychoanalytically informed research in the biobehavioral sciences, social sciences, arts, or humanities. The winner receives $1,000, complimentary registration, up to $550 in travel reimbursement, two nights’ accommodation at the APsA National Meeting, and consideration for publication in The Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association. Applicants must submit an unpublished, non-concurrently submitted essay of no more than 30 pages, along with the required entry form and an anonymized manuscript, by September 30.
