About this program
The American Psychoanalytic Association’s Committee on Psychoanalysis and the Academy offers the Peter Loewenberg Essay Prize for the best essay featuring psychoanalytically informed research in the biobehavioral sciences, social sciences, arts, or humanities. The winner receives $1,000, complimentary registration and travel reimbursement up to $550 for the APsA National Meeting, two nights’ hotel accommodation, and consideration for publication in The Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association. Applicants must submit an unpublished, non-submitted essay of no more than 30 pages by September 30, with a cover sheet and completed entry form; identifying information must be omitted from the essay itself.
