About this program
The American Society of Civil Engineers’ Environmental and Water Resources Institute (EWRI) offers the Pioneers in Groundwater Award to honor an individual with pioneering contributions to groundwater science and engineering through teaching, research, or practice. The annual award includes a certificate and an invitation to present a plenary lecture at the EWRI World Environmental and Water Resources Congress or Groundwater Symposium. Nominees need not be ASCE or EWRI members and must be submitted by October 1 with a signed cover letter, official nomination form, CV or biography, and up to three recommendation letters. Each nomination is considered for three consecutive selection cycles.
