Pollution Prevention Grant

About this program

BizRecycling (a program of Ramsey/Washington Recycling & Energy) offers Pollution Prevention Grants to provide technical and financial assistance to businesses for projects that reduce employee, community, and environmental health risks by cutting use of harmful chemicals, transitioning to safer alternatives, or installing modern, high-efficiency equipment. Grants cover up to $50,000 or 75% of project costs and target pollutants including VOCs, PERC, TCE, ground-level ozone, PM2.5, HAPs, and other program-identified contaminants. Eligible applicants are businesses; applications are accepted on a rolling basis and grant funds are distributed after project completion. A cost share is required (applicants must cover the portion not funded by the grant).
