Post-Doctoral Save Our Scientists (SOS) Grant Program (2027)

About this program

Autism Science Foundation offers the Post-Doctoral Save Our Scientists (SOS) Grant Program providing flexible, short-term support of up to $25,000 (awarded to the sponsoring institution) to cover direct research-related expenses and help maintain postdoctoral research productivity amid changing federal funding. Funds may be used for research costs, travel, training, supplies, data access, and participant support, are not intended as a full postdoctoral stipend, and may be transferred if the fellow moves institutions or is promoted. Eligible applicants are current postdoctoral fellows at accredited colleges or universities (U.S. or international) conducting research scientifically linked to autism across basic and clinical domains. Priority is given to studies on profound autism and research addressing sex differences or female-focused questions; applications are due October 15, 2026 with notifications expected in March 2027 (full RFA available from ASF).
