About this program

The Kurt Weill Foundation for Music supports professional opera, theater, dance, orchestral, ensemble, and concert organizations presenting eligible works by Kurt Weill or Marc Blitzstein. Funding prioritizes additional costs directly associated with producing or presenting these works; applications are generally due November 1, with an additional June 1 deadline, and major productions may be considered case by case. Applicants must be nonprofit organizations and submit an English application, project description, mission and track record, detailed budget, key personnel bios, proof of nonprofit status, a performance work sample, and recent reviews. Projects must use original versions or authorized arrangements, and compilations, incidental uses, new translations or adaptations, and indirect or overhead costs are ineligible.
