Program Support Grants

About this program

The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation offers Program Support Grants to fund programs or projects of nonprofit organizations serving Linn County, Iowa, with grants lasting 12–24 months. 2026 application deadlines are March 6 and September 11 at 4:30 p.m. CST; requests are capped at $30,000 annually for organizations with budgets over $150,000, while smaller organizations may request up to 20% of their operating budget. Eligible applicants include IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charities, governmental organizations, and nonprofits with a current fiscal sponsorship agreement; ineligible costs include capital projects, fundraising, regranting, religious activities, scholarships, and out-of-region travel. Organizations with active Program Support Grants may be restricted from reapplying until the current award ends.
