Project Grants for Small-Scale Organizations – The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts

About this program

The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts offers $20,000–$30,000 Project Grants to support experimental, temporary visual arts projects produced by U.S.-based nonprofit organizations, including exhibitions, screenings, festivals, installations, residencies, and interdisciplinary or community-based work. Grants support direct project costs and prioritize opportunities that foster artists’ creative risk-taking, experimentation, and professional growth, particularly for artists with limited recognition or whose practices are marginalized. Eligible applicants must have annual operating budgets of $200,000 or less, provide a 501(c)(3) statement, and propose a project with a public component in which visual art is central; youth-focused projects are ineligible. Proposals of no more than three pages must include project and organizational budgets and detailed information about the artists, project plans, venue, dates, programming, and publications, with deadlines of March 1 and September 1.
