About this program

The Aaron Copland Fund for Music’s Project Support Program (Main Round 2026) offers restricted grants to support discrete projects that expand public knowledge and appreciation of contemporary American concert music and contemporary jazz by American composers. Awards are typically $2,000–$20,000 (larger grants possible for organizations with extraordinary commitment), and the Fund will not award more than the amount requested. Only organizations invited from the Preliminary Round may submit Main Round applications; eligible applicants include performing ensembles, presenters, music service organizations, and record companies, and applicants are encouraged not to request more than ~30% of project expenses. The Main Round deadline is November 12, 2026 (11:59 pm ET), and applications must include a proposal narrative, detailed project budget and timetable, recent financials and three-year budget information, plus required audio/score/video materials where applicable.
