About this program

Connecticut Innovations offers $50,000–$100,000 investments through its Proof-of-Concept Fund to help early-stage companies validate technologies, complete research and testing, develop minimum viable products, and conduct customer pilots. Selected companies receive funding through a convertible note, along with access to mentors, bootcamps, and growth resources. Applicants must be technology-focused companies at the proof-of-concept stage with headquarters and at least 50% of employees in Connecticut, or be willing to relocate or expand there; preference is given to innovation-driven sectors and socially or economically disadvantaged founders. Companies should demonstrate a unique, difficult-to-copy innovation and submit a pitch deck or business plan; a cash match is preferred but not required.
