PROSPER Award for Underrepresented Pediatric Research Fellows

About this program

The Society for Pediatric Research offers the PROSPER Award to support underrepresented-in-medicine pediatric research fellows pursuing academic careers in child health research. Up to two awardees receive $5,000, matched by their organization, plus external mentorship and recognition at the PAS Meeting for a one-year research project. Applicants must hold an MD, DO, and/or PhD; be enrolled in or accepted to a fellowship; identify as URiM; and conduct or plan pediatric or adolescent health research. Applications, including research and career statements, NIH biosketches, mentor information, and a Division Head or Department Chair support letter, are due August 15–September 30.
