About this program
The R Consortium’s ISC Grant Program funds open-source development, technical infrastructure, and social infrastructure projects that deliver broad benefits to the R community. Projects should have a focused scope, clear milestones and deliverables, demonstrable value, and low to medium implementation risk; conference, workshop, hardware, cloud-software, highly exploratory research, and narrowly targeted projects are generally excluded. Applicants must submit a 2–5 page, self-contained PDF proposal using the required template through the online form by May 1, 2026, for the first cycle, or October 1, 2026, for the second cycle.
