About this program
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), through the Surampalli Family Trust, offers the Rao Y. Surampalli Medal to recognize an outstanding published paper making definitive contributions to climate change engineering/science, impacts, or solutions. The lead author receives a bronze medal and honorarium, while co-authors receive certificates. Eligible papers must be published in an ASCE journal online between July and June of the year preceding the award; ASCE membership and nationality are not requirements. Nominations are due November 1 and must include a signed cover letter and a copy of the paper.
