Rapid Response Grants

Vermont Humanities offers Rapid Response Grants of up to $1,000 for humanities-focused community projects, including small initiatives completed within six months and new “pop-up” humanities experiences requiring quick support. America 250 Rapid Response Grants support commemorative community events held April 1–July 31 and are available to 501(c)(3) public charities, government entities, schools, and higher education institutions, on a rolling basis while funds remain. Applicants must demonstrate that the humanities are central to the project, address audience benefit, accessibility, community inclusion, evaluation, and organizational capacity; applications are reviewed monthly and must be submitted before the first day of the month. Awardees must sign a grant agreement, provide public event information when applicable, and submit a final report within 30 days of project completion.
