Reintegration Grants

About this program

The Sidney R. Baer, Jr. Foundation offers reintegration grants to support programs that help individuals with severe mental illness—particularly schizophrenia and bipolar disorder—build recovery, stability, life skills, and meaningful community or professional participation. Support may include reintegration services, clubhouse-model programs, scholarships, and related initiatives. Eligible applicants must be tax-exempt organizations under IRS sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2), with no more than 7% of grant funds allocated to administrative expenses. Applicants must submit a letter of intent between November 1 and March 1; organizations invited to proceed must submit a full application by May 31.
