About this program
The Priestley Medal, offered by the American Chemical Society (ACS), honors distinguished contributions to the field of chemistry with a $20,000 research grant, a gold medallion, and additional awards. Nominations are accepted annually from July 1 to November 1. Eligibility is open to faculty, industry professionals, chemistry experts, and international applicants, including both ACS members and non-members, with no restrictions based on personal characteristics; however, members of the ACS Board of Directors are ineligible.
