Research grants on Polymyalgia rheumatica

About this program

Swiss Foundation for Research on Muscle Diseases is funding a special research program to support basic, translational and clinical projects on Polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) conducted at Swiss institutions, including studies on PMR pathology and treatment, improved diagnosis and setting up international registries. Eligible applicants are researchers working in Switzerland in relevant biomedical fields; projects must be based in Swiss institutions and address PMR-related aims. Full application (PDF) must be emailed to Prof. M.A. Rüegg (mruegg.grants@fsrmm.ch) by 2026-08-31; applications are reviewed by the Scientific Advisory Board and external reviewers, with final selection by the Board of Trustees (selection in November, applicants informed in December). Overhead costs are not covered; grant holders must submit an annual invoice to philippe.rognon@fsrmm.ch and, within one month after project end, a scientific report and a detailed financial report (including salaries with names/positions) to raffaella.willmann@fsrmm.ch.
