Research Impact Award

About this program

Sponsored by Rutgers University and administered by the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T), the Research Impact Award recognizes an individual or team that has translated a single Information Science research project into demonstrable societal benefits beyond academia. The award includes a US$1,000 cash prize, up to US$1,500 toward attendance at the ASIS&T Annual Meeting, and an opportunity to present the work in a webinar. Nominees or at least one team member must be current ASIS&T members in good standing, and nominations should document the impact’s nature, creation process, scale, significance, and lessons learned, including alignment with ASIS&T’s Access, Belonging, or Community values. Self-nominations are encouraged; prior winners and current Awards & Honors Committee or Board members are ineligible, and submissions are due April 1.
