Resident Research Award

About this program

The SIR Foundation’s Resident Research Award supports residents and fellows pursuing careers in interventional radiology by enabling them to present original research at the SIR Annual Scientific Meeting. Up to four recipients receive complimentary meeting registration, a certificate of recognition, and a $1,000 travel stipend. Applicants must be enrolled in an interventional radiology-related training program, serve as principal or co-principal investigator and listed abstract presenter, and have an accepted abstract for an oral presentation at the meeting. Applications are due by 5 p.m. ET on November 15, 2026; the abstract submission deadline is September 24, 2026.
