RFA 26-1: Assessing the Impacts of Strategies to Reduce Traffic-Related Emissions in the United States

About this program

The Health Effects Institute (HEI) is soliciting RFA 26-1 to fund studies that assess the effects of strategies, policies, or actions designed to reduce traffic-related emissions and related air pollution concentrations in the United States. A total of $3 million is available to support a small number of projects of up to three years (with some smaller, shorter studies anticipated); budget requests must closely align with selected objectives and include preparation of the final report. Applicants must focus on emissions, air quality, exposure, and health outcomes within the United States; preliminary applications are due by 11:59 PM (EDT) on June 15, 2026, and full applications by 11:59 PM (EDT) on October 13, 2026.
