About this program
The Geoarchaeology Division of the Geological Society of America offers the Richard Hay Award, a student travel grant for an undergraduate or graduate student presenting a geoarchaeology paper or poster at the annual GSA meeting. Recipients are chosen by the Division Awards Committee based on the scientific merit of the research topic and the clarity of the expanded paper or poster abstract. Applicants must have submitted their abstract to GSA by 2026-08-29 and be scheduled to present in a Geoarchaeology Division session; completed application and reference forms are downloadable and must be emailed as attachments to gsa.agd@gmail.com.
