About this program
The American Antiquarian Society offers the Robert and Charlotte Baron Fellowship to creative and performing artists, writers, filmmakers, journalists, and others conducting historical research for imaginative works on pre-twentieth-century American history, literature, or culture. Applicants are automatically considered for both the Baron Fellowship and the Hearst Foundations Fellowship. Eligible applicants must submit an online application, statement, current résumé, work samples, and reviews by October 5, 2026.
