About this program
The North Carolina Preservation Consortium invites nominations for the annual Robert James Award for Preservation Excellence, which recognizes organizations demonstrating outstanding commitment to preserving tangible heritage and provides a $500 award presented at the November NCPC annual conference. Eligible nominees include North Carolina libraries, museums, archives, historic sites, and other organizations with preservation missions; NCPC membership is not required, and the award does not recognize individuals. Nominations must describe successful preservation projects or programs and include at least one letter of support from outside the organization. Materials must be emailed or postmarked by October 20.
