Rothman-Ranawat Traveling Fellowship (2027 applications)

About this program

The Hip Society's Rothman-Ranawat Traveling Fellowship funds a 4–5 week observational and educational tour of leading hip surgery centers across the United States and Canada (travel Nov–Dec 2026), concluding at Current Concepts in Joint Replacement (CCJR®) 2026; applications are accepted through October 1, 2026. The fellowship supports emerging leaders in hip surgery through clinical observerships, mentorship, and exposure to research and innovation. Applicants must be board-certified or board-eligible orthopaedic surgeons at least five years beyond completion of training with a fellowship in adult reconstruction, sports medicine, or hip preservation and must demonstrate clinical or research productivity (publications/presentations). Candidates must be able to be away for the full tour, obtain required US/Canada entry visas, meet vaccination and health-screening requirements, and submit an updated CV, headshot, two letters of recommendation, and a personal statement.
