RUCCTS Pilot Award (Rockefeller University Center for Clinical and Translational Science)

About this program

The Rockefeller University Center for Clinical and Translational Science (RUCCTS), supported in part by the NIH NCATS CTSA program, offers Pilot Awards to fund innovative clinical and translational projects that accelerate bench-to-bedside translation, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and promote workforce development and community-engaged efforts to reduce health disparities. Awards are up to $25,000 with roughly eight one-year grants awarded annually (a competitive second year may be possible), supporting early-stage therapies/technologies, secondary data analyses (e.g., N3C), and new methodologies. Eligible applicants include collaborative teams of basic scientists and clinical investigators, community-engaged projects, and trainees (trainees must submit a mentor support letter); proposals must include a detailed description of significance, methods, and anticipated impact, and community projects require a partner commitment letter. Proposals are evaluated on scientific merit, translational impact, and public health benefit, with special consideration for studies involving human participants at Rockefeller University Hospital.
