Rural Catalyst Grants

About this program

The Boettcher Foundation offers Rural Catalyst Grants of $1,000–$10,000 to strengthen the capacity of organizations advancing rural Colorado priorities, including strategic planning, convening, short-term staffing or contractors, and one-time operating costs. Eligible projects may address affordable housing, childcare, mental health, rural placemaking, water management, immigrant and refugee services, community collaboration, and related issues. Applicants must pursue a strategic opportunity rather than general operating support and have at least one staff member, volunteer, or board member attend a Rural Leadership Collaborative meeting between 2024 and 2026. Applications are accepted during winter and fall cycles, with 2026 windows running January 12–February 13 and October 1–30.
