Rural Health Small Grants

About this program

The Montana Healthcare Foundation offers Rural Health Small Grants of up to $10,000 for projects lasting up to 12 months that address health-related needs in rural Montana communities, including mental health, housing, food, caregiving, public health, and cultural connection. Eligible applicants must be organizations physically located in and serving rural Montana outside the seven designated urban hubs, including qualifying 501(c)(3) nonprofits, educational institutions, government agencies, and organizations using eligible fiscal sponsors. Projects should address unmet community needs, involve meaningful partnerships and community participation, and demonstrate benefits that extend beyond the grant period; letters of interest are required before full applications.
