Ruth I. Michler Memorial Prize

About this program

The Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) offers the Ruth I. Michler Memorial Prize annually to support outstanding women in the mathematical sciences through a semester of research at Cornell University without teaching obligations. The award includes $50,000, a $3,000 housing and subsistence stipend, and access to Cornell office, library, and computing resources. Applicants must be women recently promoted to Associate Professor or an equivalent position at an institution other than Cornell; nationality and country of employment are unrestricted, and the recipient must spend a full semester at Cornell. Applications, submitted through MathPrograms.org from August 15 through October 1, require a CV, a two- to three-page research proposal, and three recommendation letters.
