RWJF Health Policy Fellows – 2027-28 Cohort

About this program

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Fellows program, administered by the National Academy of Medicine, offers mid-career professionals an immersive, full-time year in Washington, DC, including federal policy orientation and placement in Congress, a congressional committee, or the executive branch. Fellows receive up to $175,000 over two years, with potential relocation and housing support, to develop leadership and advance health, health care, and health policy. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents with an advanced degree, substantial health-related expertise, and distinguished professional experience; primary government-relations or advocacy professionals are ineligible. Applications for the 2027–28 cohort close at 3 p.m. ET on November 3, 2026, and applicants must apply through an eligible sponsoring institution or the National Academy of Medicine.
