SAH IDEAS Research Fellowship

About this program

The Society of Architectural Historians (SAH) offers the IDEAS Research Fellowship to foster innovative research in architectural history, particularly from marginalized perspectives. This fellowship provides a $1,000 award, mentorship, and peer support to emerging scholars with a terminal master's or Ph.D. degree, encouraging research that challenges existing paradigms and represents diverse, underrepresented directions in the field. Applicants must submit a statement of interest and CV by July 1st each year, with the next application cycle opening on July 1, 2026.
