Samuel Waxman Institute for Aging & Cancer 2026 Request for Proposals

About this program

The Mark Foundation for Cancer Research’s Samuel Waxman Institute for Aging & Cancer, in partnership with several cancer organizations, offers up to $500,000 over three years for collaborative research on how aging, inflammaging, and immunosenescence influence cancer development, progression, treatment response, and prevention. Projects may address solid tumors or blood cancers and should demonstrate synergistic expertise, ideally incorporating age-stratified patient samples, datasets, or experimental models. Applications must include a PI and co-PI from different nonprofit academic or research institutions, both holding independent faculty appointments and established laboratories with multi-year independent funding. Nonprofit institutions worldwide are eligible, and letters of intent are due June 15, 2026, with full applications by September 15, 2026.
