Schallek Fellowship

About this program

The Medieval Academy of America offers the Schallek Fellowship to support doctoral students completing dissertation research and writing in medieval studies. Applicants must be members of the Academy by September 15 and submit their applications by October 15. Eligible applicants must have passed their Ph.D. qualifying examinations and provide a dissertation proposal, two-page project summary, academic information, and two letters of recommendation. Awardees conducting research at the British Library may also be considered for an additional $2,500 fellowship from the American Trust for the British Library.
