About this program

The Kurt Weill Foundation for Music supports performing and educational organizations undertaking scholarly or educational activities focused on Kurt Weill, Lotte Lenya, and/or Marc Blitzstein, including workshops, symposia, conferences, and secondary or college-level initiatives. Funding may cover honoraria, travel, and preparation or printing of supporting materials. Applicants must submit an English application, project description, organizational mission and history, proof of nonprofit status, an itemized project budget, and detailed activity descriptions with participant CVs. The primary deadline is November 1 for eligible future projects, with an additional June 1 deadline; retroactive funding is not available.
