Science Communication and Public Engagement Award

About this program

The American Association for Anatomy offers the Science Communication and Public Engagement Award annually to recognize a mid-career member’s sustained, outstanding contributions to communicating anatomical science and engaging public audiences. The award includes a $1,000 honorarium, complimentary Annual Meeting registration, and up to $1,000 in travel reimbursement. Applicants must be current members with at least two years of continuous membership and at least 10 years since completing their highest degree. Nominations, due October 19, 2026, must include a letter documenting the nominee’s engagement philosophy, activities, audiences, and outcomes; two representative samples; and a CV of no more than five pages.
