Science Outreach and Communication Grant

About this program

The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) offers up to five grants of $1,000 each to support new or enhanced outreach and science communication activities that increase public understanding and appreciation of biochemistry, molecular biology, and related fields. Eligible projects may be in-person, hybrid, or virtual and must be completed within six months of receiving funds. Primary applicants must be ASBMB members during application and project implementation, with preference given to undergraduate, graduate, postdoctoral, and other early-career members. Proposals must clearly define the target audience, objectives, execution timeline, safety considerations, and itemized cost-effective budget; applications open in October, with an October 31 deadline.
