SEAd Grant: Education Research Starter Grant

About this program

The Society of Education in Anesthesia (SEA) offers the SEAd Grant, a $10,000 starter award supporting original education research projects by aspiring faculty with no prior external research funding. Funds support project expenses but not salaries or overhead, and recipients must present their study or progress report, submit a manuscript, and provide six-month and one-year reports. Applicants must be current SEA members, within 10 years of beginning an academic or teaching career, and propose an original study with a mentor and mentoring plan. Departmental Chair support is required, including a commitment to provide at least two additional non-clinical days per month; Phase 1 applications are due September 1, 2026.
