Brown Institute for Media Innovation at Columbia Journalism School offers the Second Annual Marco Castro Cosio Media Art and Technology Fellowship, providing $10,000 in fiscal sponsorship and a remote residency to support emerging creators and researchers working at the intersection of technology, media, and the arts. The award may be used for travel, living expenses, equipment, and other project fees, and fellows based in or working in New York City will have optional access to Brown Institute facilities in Pulitzer Hall. Candidates from all professional backgrounds are encouraged to apply, with a preference for interdisciplinary projects addressing societal challenges such as climate change and inequality. Applicants must be eligible to receive funding from a U.S.-based institution; the Brown Institute cannot provide visa support or sponsorship.
