Shamsher Prakash Award & Lecture

About this program

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), under the auspices of its Geo-Institute, offers the annual Shamsher Prakash Award and Lecture to honor outstanding contributions to geotechnical engineering or soil dynamics. The award includes a plaque, an honorarium, and an invited lecture at Geo-Congress or another appropriate ASCE conference, accompanied by a paper for publication. Nominees must be geotechnical engineers aged 50 or younger by the October 1 nomination deadline; ASCE membership is not required. Nominations must include a signed cover letter, the nominee’s CV or biographical information, and two or three recommendation letters.
