SIAM Activity Group on Geosciences Career Prize

About this program

The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) Activity Group on Geosciences offers its Career Prize biennially to an outstanding senior researcher who has made broad and distinguished contributions to mathematical and computational geosciences. The 2027 recipient will receive a certificate, an invitation to present a plenary talk at the SIAM Conference on Mathematical and Computational Issues in the Geosciences, and reimbursement for reasonable travel expenses. Nominees must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent earned at least 15 years ago (by 2012 for the 2027 award) and may receive the prize only once. Nominations, due October 15, 2026, must include a nominator’s letter, the candidate’s CV, and two or three expert letters of support.
