SIAM Activity Group on Linear Algebra Early Career Prize

About this program

The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) Activity Group on Linear Algebra offers the Early Career Prize every three years to recognize outstanding recent research contributions in applicable linear algebra. The 2027 recipient will receive a certificate, an invitation to deliver a brief plenary talk at the SIAM Conference on Applied Linear Algebra, and reimbursement for reasonable travel expenses. Nominees must be post-PhD researchers whose qualifying work is publicly available and who received their Ph.D. between January 1, 2021, and the October 15, 2026, nomination deadline; current graduate students are ineligible. Nominations must include a nominator’s recommendation letter, the candidate’s CV, and two or three expert letters of support.
