SIAM Postdoctoral Support Program

About this program

The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) offers the Postdoctoral Support Program, providing up to $15,000 per postdoc–mentor pair (up to two awards annually) to support cross-institutional mentoring, collaboration, research experience, and professional development. Applicants must apply as postdoc/mentor pairs with the postdoc no more than three years past the Ph.D.; pairs may not be at the same institution or previously co‑located, mentors may be from academia, industry, or government, and the project must include at least four weeks of face-to-face collaboration and a funding period of no more than two years. Applications require CVs for both participants, a ~4-page research description, detailed budget and justification, and a mentorship plan; priority deadline is November 1, 2026, with applications accepted thereafter until annual funds are expended (U.S.-based pairs receive priority).
