Simons Symposia

About this program

The Simons Foundation’s Mathematics and Physical Sciences division invites proposals for Simons Symposia series beginning in 2028, supporting up to three weeklong meetings held biennially for collaboration among mathematicians, theoretical physicists, and theoretical computer scientists. Selected organizing committees receive full Foundation-administered support for participant travel, lodging, meals, and conference expenses, with up to two series selected in each of mathematics and theoretical physics. Applicants may be based inside or outside the United States, and institutional approval is not required; proposals must be submitted by an organizing committee member. Applications are due September 30, 2026, at noon Eastern time and must include a subject description, organizing committee and invitee lists, dissemination plan, and CVs for committee members.
