About this program
The AASM Foundation, in partnership with the Sleep Research Society Foundation, offers one-year, $5,000 Small Research Grants to support seed funding for relatively inexpensive sleep research studies, training, pilot data collection, and preparation for career development grants. Funds may cover participant compensation, supplies, small equipment, assays, and research assistants, but not salary, conference travel, or indirect costs. Applicants must be members in good standing of the Sleep Research Society, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, or both, and must be undergraduate or graduate students or early-career investigators within 10 years of a terminal degree and at or below the assistant professor level. Applications are due August 31, 2026.
