Small Group Breakfast Meeting for Underrepresented Scholars

The American Economic Association and its Committee on the Status of Minority Groups in the Economics Profession sponsor an annual Small Group Breakfast Meeting for Underrepresented Scholars, offering mentorship, networking, and career guidance with leading economists. Participation is limited to 20 scholars and is selected based on career stage, access to professional networks, and potential benefit from the mentoring-focused event. Applicants must be from a group traditionally underrepresented in economics, be pre-tenure or within 10 years of receiving their PhD, and be a U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, DACA recipient, or eligible non-citizen. Applications, including a brief statement of anticipated benefit, are due by 5 p.m. ET on the second Friday of October.
