Society of Addiction Psychology Early Career Psychologist Research Grant

About this program

The Society of Addiction Psychology (SoAP), Division 50 of the American Psychological Association, offers up to two Early Career Psychologist Research Grants of $5,000 each to support research in addiction psychology; at least one award will prioritize equity, social justice, marginalized communities, or historically underrepresented trainees. Awardees also receive waived registration and up to $500 in travel support to present findings at an APA or Collaborative Perspectives on Addiction meeting. Applicants must be within 10 years of receiving their doctorate and be SoAP members, fellows, associates, or professional affiliates; federal funding for the same or similar project is not permitted. Applications, including a research plan, budget, biosketch, recommendation letter, and required supporting materials, must be submitted as one PDF by 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30.
