About this program
The Society for Applied Anthropology (SfAA) presents the Sol Tax Distinguished Service Award annually to recognize a member’s long-term, outstanding service to the Society and applied anthropology. Recipients are invited to share reflections on their career and service at SfAA’s Annual Meeting. Nominees must demonstrate exceptional, lasting contributions in areas such as organizational leadership, interdisciplinary communication, editing or publishing, curriculum development, ethical standards, or other efforts advancing SfAA’s mission; nominations require a detailed letter, complete CV, and one support letter, submitted by October 1.
