About this program
The Sleep Research Society Foundation (SRSF) offers Small Research Grants of up to $5,000 to support trainees and early-career investigators conducting relatively inexpensive sleep-related studies, including pilot research, thesis projects, and preparation for future career-development or external funding. Funds may cover participant compensation, supplies, small equipment, assays, and research assistants, but not salary, conference travel, or indirect costs; the 2027 funding period runs January–December 2027. Applicants must maintain membership in the Sleep Research Society, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, or both, have an institutional affiliation, and be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program or within 10 years of a terminal degree at the assistant professor level or earlier. Applications are due August 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CT.
