About this program
The Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program supports the acquisition and development of new parks and the renovation or expansion of existing parks in critically underserved and climate-vulnerable communities. Applications must be submitted online by December 17, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. The program offers grants of $200,000 to $8,500,000 per application, with no matching funds required. Funding is provided through California's Proposition 4 Climate Bond, approved by voters in November 2024. Eligible projects may include land acquisition, design, permits, and construction. Payments are primarily reimbursements, with advances subject to additional consideration and a 20% retention for final payment. The expected award announcement is summer 2027, and the period of performance extends through June 2031.
