About this program
The Internet Society Foundation’s Sustainable Peering Infrastructure Grant Program supports community-led Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) and initiatives that strengthen peering and interconnection. Grants provide up to USD 50,000 for establishing or enhancing IXPs and up to USD 25,000 for peering ecosystem support, with preference for projects in UN-recognized Least Developed Countries and Small Island Developing States. Eligible applicants are legally registered nonprofit organizations with a qualifying bank account and demonstrated technical and project-management capacity; IXP proposals must be neutral, open, publicly beneficial, and not-for-profit. The invitation-only application period runs from 6 August to 10 September 2026, with applications submitted through Fluxx.
